DHL Global Forwarding opens a new Haneda Airport office

DHL Global Forwarding Japan is to open a new office at Haneda Airport (Tokyo International Airport). The move is aimed at capturing anticipated growth in freight movements through the country on the back of the internationalization of Haneda Airport.

Kelvin Leung, Chief Executive Officer, DHL Global Forwarding, North Asia Pacific said, “With the internationalization of Haneda Airport, businesses in Japan can look forward to a strong boost in international air connectivity and cargo transport capabilities. As the first international player to set up an office at Haneda Airport and with international trade on an upward trend worldwide, expanding our service capabilities with a new office at Haneda Airport will give DHL Global Forwarding a first mover advantage in meeting the needs of our customers in the region.”

DHL’s Haneda Airport Office is located within the Tokyo International Air Cargo Terminal Building No. 1, and opens on the same day as Haneda Airport (Tokyo International Airport)’s new international terminal. This will be DHL’s first base at the Haneda airport.

Charles Kaufmann, Representative Director and President, DHL Global Forwarding Japan, said: “The office we are establishing at Haneda Airport, in addition to our locations at Narita Airport, Kansai Airport and Chubu Airport, will play a crucial role in helping us to optimize our services in ways that will translate into time and cost savings for our customers.”
