Start of access to Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) Terminal 2

Start of access to Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) Terminal 2 Annex (southside)

Departures and arrivals lobby spaces are almost twice as large to bring more comfort, utility, and functionality.

Japan Airport Terminal wish to announce that access to Haneda Airport’s Terminal 2 Annex (southside), currently under construction as is the re-expansion work for Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will open on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, and this will bring more convenience, comfort, and utility to our customers.

Departures and arrivals lobby spaces will be almost twice as large after the southside of this terminal is opened, and this will increasingly improve convenience, comfort, and utility by shortened distances to southside gates, which are realized by the addition of passport control gates and arrivals baggage claim areas. Furthermore, we improved air traveler passageways, implemented energy efficiency controls, and brought more diversification to commercial facilities, in addition to placing, for instance, highly designed and comfortable seating in the common areas, such as the lobby, to provide spaces to our customers where they can enjoy their time on our site.

As Japan’s backbone airport, Haneda Airport will re-open with more space and conveniences to meet the needs of air travelers to major cities. We too will continue to add more services in order to bring terminals that will accommodate and meet our air travelers’ needs.
